Our collated screws range includes wall and ceiling screws, for the installation of plasterboard and cement sheets.
These screws are specifically designed to ensure compatibility with Australian-manufactured plasterboard such as Gyprock, and we comply with standards such as the AS3566.2-2002 (self-drilling screws for the building and construction industries).

Metal or Timber Stud: Traditionally fine thread screws were recommended for installing plasterboard to metal studs, and coarse thread screws for fixing plasterboard into timber. A 30mm requirement is specified in AS2589 for fixing 10mm plasterboard ceilings onto timber frames.
Drywall Screws: These are optimised for drywall installations, featuring sharp/needle points and threads that are perfect for quick insertion and stronghold in the gypsum board.

The Best Screws for Plasterboard
It is crucial for ensuring the structural integrity of the installation. Our screws for fixing to plasterboard are designed to offer a secure hold, minimizing the risk of damage to the board while providing a foundation that will ensure you don’t need to return to fix defects in popping screws. Please ensure that screws are inserted at least 200mm away from adhesive dabs as curing and shrinkage of the adhesive may contribute to popping screws.

Installation Tips
Pre-drilling: Rarely and for thicker or harder materials, pre-drilling can help ensure that
screws are inserted correctly and reduce the risk of damaging the material.
Depth Setting: Setting the collated screw gun setting to the correct depth prevents
protrusion or dimpling of the wallboard surface. Make sure that the screw is sunk
just below the level of the paper taking care not to break the paper.
